ELENA
Hey there! I’m Elena Melina, a 21-year-old photography student and one half of the ELMOFILMLAB team. When I’m not behind the lens, I’m working at a school for deaf children, where I get to practice sign language and connect with incredible kids.
Traveling and discovering new cultures are some of my greatest joys, and I’m almost always found wearing headphones. I’m a huge fan of experimenting with different cameras, but my heart belongs to my Canon AE-1 and the beautiful Hasselblad 503CX. Black and white film is my go-to, and I’m all about that flash—it just adds that little extra pop!
Developing and scanning film is pure magic for me! I absolutely love the thrill of finishing up a roll and seeing those images come to life—it's like the excitement of Christmas every time but better.
My goal is to make sure you get back beautiful, high-quality pictures so you can relive those special moments and enjoy the same thrill I feel every time I see a roll of film completed.
MORITZ
Hey, I’m Moritz, 23, and the other half of ELMOFILMLAB! By day, I’m a web developer, but my real love is film photography. Funny enough, I started out developing in my bathroom—film, not websites! My bathroom basically turned into a mini darkroom, where my Leica M4 and Hasselblad 500C got their magic touch. Kodak Portra 800 is my go-to; it just makes everything look warm and dreamy.
At ELMOFILMLAB, it's all about those unfiltered, real moments. Whether it's developing websites or film, I guess you could say I'm into bringing things to life, one way or another!
LUMI & YUKI
I’m Lumi, 3 months old, and the real brains behind ELMOFILMLAB. Sure, the other two humans think they run the show, but let’s be honest—I’m the star here. I spend my days doing the most important work: eating chicken and sleeping for, like, 20 hours. Someone's got to keep up the energy around here. When I’m not napping, I’m busy quality-checkingyour precious film rolls. HP5 is my favorite, obviously, because it’s black and white like me. Clearly, they’d be lost without my artistic direction.
And then there’s Yuki, my little sidekick. She’s 3 months old, obsessed with Cinestill 400D, and has a weird thing for eating plants—don’t ask. While she’s busy nibbling on the green, I’m here making sure the lab runs smoothly. But together, we’re the perfect team.
So yeah, ELMOFILMLAB is basically our project; the humans are just lucky we let them be a part of it.
